Calista West launched her eponymous business in 2017 after completing the Graduate Diamonds Program at the Gemological Institute of America in New York City. West was inspired by a passion for fine jewelry, driven by the demands of a new digital marketplace, and offering the next generation of engagement clients a fresh way of working together.

The private jeweler transformed a centuries-old industry by foregoing the traditional brick-and-mortar concept and offering a unique, highly personalized one-on-one experience for her clients.

As a private jeweler, West provides all of the services associated with a traditional jeweler, with the added benefit of working closely with each client. Relationships are at the heart of her business, and clients are forever considered members of the Calista West family. West is a passionate advocate for those she works with, ensuring value and quality are never compromised.

Calista West is headquartered on Nantucket Island, where both private, in-person, and remote appointments are available. Clients can discretely browse the curated selection of fine jewelry designers she represents or choose to have a special piece custom designed at the permanent location opened in 2023 at 12 Main Street, Nantucket Island. For those unable to meet on Nantucket or remotely, West travels worldwide for off-site, in-person appointments upon request.

Hailing from the countryside of northeastern Pennsylvania, Calista moved to Nantucket full-time in 2003 after spending family holidays and summering on Nantucket since 1989. She resides on the island full-time with her fiancé and son, whom they welcomed in 2023 and aptly named Asher as a nod to her love for diamonds.
