Inspired by a passion for fine jewelry and driven by the demands of a new, digital marketplace, Calista West launched her eponymous business in 2017. The private jeweler and online jewelry curator is transforming a centuries-old industry by foregoing the traditional brick-and-mortar concept and offering a unique, highly personalized one-on-one experience for her clients. As a private jeweler, Calista provides all of the services associated with a traditional jeweler.

In July of 2018, Calista opened her first physical location on Nantucket Island available to the public where she can meet with clients by appointment in her private office and showroom. They can discretely browse the curated fine jewelry designers she represents or sit down with her to work on a custom design. Calista continues to travel around the globe to her private clients, too!

Calista received formal training at the renowned Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in New York and has spent more than a decade working in luxury retail. Prior to launching her business, she managed Boston-based Pageo Jewelers on Nantucket Island for several years.

Today, Calista offers services to her clients, taking them through all stages (from design to selection of stones), and always from the comfort of her Nantucket, Boston, or New York office, client's home or other meeting place of their choice. In addition to her sought-after custom engagement designs and custom pieces, Calista also offers a variety of ready-for-purchase fine jewelry designs from her own collection and from select designers on her website.  Due to her unique business model, she is able to guarantee fair and competitive pricing on her designs while also saving her client's time.

Calista was born in Pennsylvania but has called Nantucket home since 2003. Her love affair with the island dates back to her early childhood, during summers spent visiting family. Today, the pristine New England getaway is a fitting backdrop for her business, and on any given day Calista is happy to meet clients on the island or hop on a plane to meet them wherever they are. For Calista, the allure of her role goes beyond business, especially when she is called upon to create bridal and anniversary pieces.

“I feel so honored to be part of and trusted in such a special occasion,” she says.

When not on Nantucket, Calista splits her time between Boston, New York, and Palm Beach.
