About the Role

Calista West is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is a true expert in diamonds and colored gemstones, with a proven track record of high-level sales within the fine jewelry industry. You’ll oversee the full scope of sales interactions—from initial consultations and sourcing to coordinating production and delivering exceptional client experiences.

You’ll be a key representative of the Calista West brand, so a deep understanding of our aesthetic and values is essential.

Location & Commitment
  • This is a full-time position based on Nantucket, MA through January 31, 2026.
  • Relocation to Boston, MA is desired beginning February 1, 2026, at which time the role will shift to 50% in-person and 50% remote.
  • A minimum commitment till January 31, 2026 is required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $60,000–$80,000, based on experience
  • Quarterly sales-based bonus structure

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Experience
  • Lead all stages of the sales process, from consultation to closing
  • Source diamonds and gemstones for Bespoke and in-stock projects
  • Present selections to clients and collaborate on bespoke designs
  • Build long-term relationships and maintain detailed CRM records
  • Deliver a high-touch experience that reflects Calista West’s values
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in diamonds, gemstones, and bespoke design
Operations & Production Coordination
  • Oversee production timelines and communicate with clients throughout
  • Interpret and approve CAD renderings
  • Conduct quality control inspections and coordinate with contractors
  • Ensure all orders are delivered on time and properly packaged
  • Organize incoming/outgoing inventory, documents, and certificates
  • Manage communication with couriers and vendors as needed
Leadership & Team Management
  • Delegate tasks and implement company policies
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a strong team culture
  • Maintain a high standard of organization and attention to detail
  • Drive excellence across all client interactions and back-end processes
Qualifications Required
  • Proven track record in fine jewelry sales
  • Minimum 3 years of retail experience in the fine jewelry industry prefered
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Mac OS and Google Suite
  • Ability to travel for client meetings and events
Preferred
  • GIA Graduate Gemologist degree
  • Experience with heirloom redesigns and bespoke design projects
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data management
